| Big News from SVN: New Board of Directors! |
|
| SVN Announces First Member-Elected BoardThis community gathered in May 2024 at the RISE conference and charted a new path forward for the Social Venture Network, with one of the core goals being to become a member-led organization. In January 2025, SVN members voted to adopt a new set of bylaws that officially made many of these goals part of how the organization is governed and operates.
We are so pleased to announce that our first election for a new Board of Directors was completed this month. Over 20 were nominated, 13 ran, and members voted in 11 to the Board who live in 3 different countries on 2 continents. We are so excited to have these exciting, skilled, and energized people to work with and on behalf of our membership to chart the course forward for SVN!
Thanks to our Governance Committee and outgoing Board of Directors for their hard work in helping us get to this point. While new processes are never without hiccups, we’ve learned a lot from them and look forward to using those learnings to improve the organization’s policies and practices! |
