August brought us amplified energy all across the network both here in the U.S and Europe. Formally and informally, planned and spontaneous, SVN members and the larger community are planning to and have already come together.
It’s exciting to see the community finding new ways to connect and create together! Our team, with the help of committed volunteers, are organizing more opportunities to exchange ideas, deepen relationships, and take action.
Take a look at what’s been happening this month and what’s ahead. Join us in Philadelphia for our Regional Gathering. Connect with this month’s new members. Give a shout out to our featured member. Add the dates of the upcoming events to your calendar. Get informed on ways you can connect into the amplified energy of this community.
And if you'd like to connect with us, simply reply to this email. We read every response and we’d love to hear from you.

| Tell us about your organization.
“At Industrialicious, we turn the materials your company works with every day into enterprise-scale art, and we do it in a team-building environment. For your company, this means your teams don’t just attend an event, they help build a tangible legacy that lives at your headquarters. Together we create a powerful visual talisman, from diverted waste, to represent the story of your company. The model creates pathways to meaning, as a company and for/among employees, while strengthening culture and building legacy.
We’re biased, but we also think it’s the most fun you’ll ever have in a team-building event!” |

Why did you join Social Venture Network?
“SVN popped up on my radar in 2001 when I was studying Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in a Master’s program. I was headed for a consulting career in the CSR world but things changed and I became a graphic facilitator & visual strategist for the next 25 years. Working with a boutique agency in the San Francisco Bay Area, the majority of our clients were Fortune 100 companies. While I loved the work, it was often difficult to make my living inside a machine that challenged many of my values and beliefs.
SVN is my way back “home”, my reconnection to people who are committed to challenging the dominant models of business and organizational life, and one of the key structures I need to help realize the vision I have in my current business!”
What is your goal for 2026?“In the second half of 2026 my professional goal is to land 1-2 major projects for Industrialicious. Our big 2025 contract with Asurion included 100 people at their Nashville headquarters. Their founder called the engagement “the most successful team building and culture reinforcing activity they’ve done in 30 years as a company. I had another goal to find a smaller professional group I could go deeper with and low and behold, the invitation to join the SVN Peer Circles arrived! Happy to see what that becomes and how we can support one another over time.”
What are you building with your SVN membership?“More of what I experienced at the June 2026 Revival Gathering in Santa Fe: A feeling like I’d found a missing piece in my life. A community of people aligned around deep meaning and impact. An organization that will help me return to what I got away from for too long.
I see SVN as a catalyst to help me unleash my energy and what I care about into the business and organizational worlds while facing the deep-rooted problems and broken models of our current society. What we are witnessing are severely damaged people, systems and planet. Along the way, I genuinely hope that my life and work experiences, training, and the core of who I am as a person can help the people in the SVN community amplify their impact.”

THE WOMEN HOLDING COMMUNITIES TOGETHER
Mendy Marsh, co-founder and executive director of VOICE is interviewed on the Courage Curve Podcast and shares what decades of work across conflict and crisis settings taught her about women-led organizations. They are there before emergencies. They remain after outside aid leaves. They organize safety, food, care, and recovery, often while carrying trauma and exhaustion of their own. The conversation explores why funding alone is not enough, how burnout exposes the limits of carrying everything alone, and why rest, trusted networks, and leadership support belong at the center of community resilience.
